In 1978, the Czechoslovak State Bank issued the second Czechoslovak ducat dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the death of King Charles IV. The proposals of Petr Formánek for one ducat, Andrej Peter for two ducats, and Zdeňk Kolařský for five and ten ducats were implemented.
On this occasion, in addition to the realized ducats, the commission proposed simultaneously to issue a commemorative silver hundred crown. Due to its exceptional quality, the original design for the ducats of Charles IV was used. from Acad. sculpture. Jaroslav Štursy.
After more than 45 years, he approaches the original intention of the author and Numizmatika Kremnica has the honor of publishing Jaroslav Štursa's design in the original form of the gold ducat.
