Silver collector's euro coin of Slovakia in 2024 with a nominal value of 10 EURO, issued on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Jozef Dekret Matejov, one of the most renowned forestry experts.
Jozef Dekret Matejovie is one of the pioneers of the rationalization of forestry. He actively contributed to changing the method of transporting extracted wood, afforestation of logging sites, logging using saws instead of axes. He also significantly reduced the annual logging quota and ensured the reforestation of the forest in the renewal plan.
