The euro coin is designed with a student drawing depicting traditional games popular with Maltese children. These include a game of balls, a spinning wheel, a traditional flight of a snake, a game of "passja" (jumping by numbers). In the upper part of the motif there are three bees flying in a circle, which come across the singing of children.
