Commemorative 2 Euro coin of Estonia, issued in 2023. This collector's euro coin is dedicated to the national bird of Estonia - the swallow.

In 1962, it was recognized as the national bird by the Estonian Natural History Society. The swallow became a symbol and sign of peaceful resistance even in Estonia during the revolution.

The motif of the euro coin depicts a swallow flying over Estonia and two other swallows sitting on a power line. The Latin name is located at the top of the coin. The curved semicircles and wavy diagonal lines in the design reflect the movement, dynamics and flow of the bird in flight.
