Commemorative 2 Euro coin of Estonia, issued in 2019. This collector's euro coin was issued on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the University of Tartu.
The motif of the euro coin is the logo of the University of Tartuensis. It was founded by the Swedish king Gustav II. Adolf in 1632. In 1919, after the German troops retreated and Estonia gained independence, the University of Tartu was named the Estonian State University and Estonian became the main language of the university.
